Mode of action	Mesostemic, broad-spectrum fungicide with preventative and specific curative activity and displaying rain-fastness. Redistributed by superficial vapour movement and also has translaminar activity.
Usage	Broad spectrum fungicide for foliar use on a wide range of agricultural and horticultural crops in temperate, sub-tropical and tropical climates in open fields or protected under glass and plastic. In Europe its uses will be focussed on cereals (at 50 g/ha), grapes (at 187.5 g/ha), pome fruit (at 75 g/ha), and cucurbit crops (at 187.5 g/ha).Trifloxystrobin is active against fungi in all four classes - Ascomycetes, Deuteromycetes, Basidiomycetes and Oomycetes.
Mammalian Toxicology	Oral Acute oral LD50 for rats 2000-2900, mice 2650-2800, dogs c. 1450 mg/kg. Skin and eye Acute percutaneous LD50 for rats and mice >3000 mg/kg. Not a skin or eye irritant (rabbits). Not a skin sensitiser. Inhalation LC50 (4 h) for rats >5.54 mg/l air.

     Trioxystrobin is a methoxyacrylate fungicide with low dosage and long lasting effect. It has protection, eradication, penetration, and systemic activities. The principle of action is to inhibit the respiration of fungal mitochondria, through the Qo of cytochrome bc1 complex The binding of the site inhibits the potential transmission of mitochondria, thereby destroying the energy synthesis of pathogens and exerting bactericidal activity.
