After penetrating the leaves, it is de-esterified, and transported within both the xylem and phloem. Also has translaminar activity. |
| Uses | Control of a range of sucking insects, including whitefly (e.g. Trialeurodes vaporariorum and Bemisia tabaci), aphids (e.g. Nasonovia ribisnigri and Aulacorthum solani), scales (Coccidae and Aulacorthum solani), Mealybugs (Pseudococcidae), psyllids (e.g. Psylla pyri) and selected thrips species, in vegetables, cotton, soya beans, pome and stone fruit, grapes, hops, citrus, nut trees and bananas. Because of its phloem and xylem mobility, it provides control of hidden pests, such as root aphids (e.g. Pemphigus bursarius), and also protects new shoots appearing after foliar application. |
